Personally engaged in your business: although it’s possible to be an absentee owner, it’s important to have some level of engagement in your business.
Customer Focused: taking care of customers is critical to your overall success, so make sure you and your employees treat them right and keep them happy! Remember that tanning is a ‘service’ business and our customers are the source of our paychecks.
Aware Of Your Competition: understanding what your competition is offering and making sure your salon is at least on par or above can be the difference between winning and losing clients. You need to differentiate your salon from the others in town, and help your customers understand why they should come to you instead of someone else.
Constantly Marketing: one of the biggest mistakes salon owners make is using poor advertising techniques and not marketing enough to attract new customers.
